The use of Wisdoc may imply that users give information about diseases they have had or have or about their medical condition (although this is of course not necessary). It is therefore absolutely necessary to carefully read the following information before you decide to register and use Wisdoc.
What is “Informed Consent”?
Wisdoc is obliged to draw your attention to the fact that Wisdoc provides the possibility for users to review and/or gives recommendations about certain physicians and doctors. Doing so non-anonymously could lead other users to obtain information about your past or current medical condition. Wisdoc does not filter any information provided by users nor controls any action of the user on the platform.
We therefore need your explicit permission and authorization to process any information or data provided by you as user of the platform (without the assistance of a medical professional) and therefore we are informing you of this before registration as user of Wisdoc and accepting the terms of service for the use of Wisdoc.
Of course WISDOC takes all possible measures to ensure confidentiality of your data and all information provided to WISDOC and your privacy.
Giving us explicit permission by accepting this disclaimer, your consent is informed.
Of course WISDOC may always be contacted if you should have any unanswered questions.
For registered individual users: when you register on our website or application, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name and email address. Each time you recommend a Doctor, we store your evaluation and eventual comment. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated below only.
About Doctors: we have gathered information about Doctors such as address, specialty, phone numbers when available from various available and public sources. This information was already public. Doctors can also register on our website and take control of their profile for free, eventually correct this information, and/or supplement it with additional information.
We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the sole purpose of providing and operating the WISDOC Services.
WISDOC website is hosted by OVH (www.ovh.com). Your data is stored on OVH’s data storage and databases. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
WISDOC do not sell, rent, or lease any information provided to third parties. In order to help provide our services, we occasionally provide information to other companies that work on our behalf. We do not share personally identifiable information with other companies, apart from those acting as our agents in providing our product(s)/service(s), and which agree to use it only for that purpose and to keep the information secure and confidential.
WISDOC is using STRIPE Payments service (from Stripe Payments UK LTD) for all subscription payments. Anyone involved with the processing, transmission, or storage of card data must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Stripe has been audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
WISDOC is also PCI compliant as we never see (or have access to) card data at all. The entire process is outsourced to and managed by STRIPE.
If you are a registered user on WISDOC, we may contact you to notify you regarding your account, about Facebook friends who have recently joined WISDOC, about recommendation campaigns, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email and/or through our mobile application.
If you don’t want WISDOC to process your data anymore, please simply contact us at [email protected]. We will delete your profile and all associated information. Your eventual recommendations will remain on the platform but fully anonymized
