Studies show people asymptomatic with Covid-19 lose antibodies faster

Studies have shown that asymptomatic people lose antibodies more quickly.
Over the past three months, the proportion of antibodies among people testing positive for the virus has fallen by 22.3%, while among those who have not reported being affected by Covid-19, the proportion of antibodies fell 64%.
A UK study by Imperial College London and Ipsos Mori showed that asymptomatic people are more likely to lose antibodies quickly than those with symptoms of the new coronavirus.
From June 20 to September 28, the two organizations followed 350,000 randomly selected people in England who regularly perform home self-tests to see if they have antibodies to Covid-19.
“During this period, the proportion of people who tested positive for Covid-19 antibodies fell from 26.5%, from 6% to 4.4%,” the press release explains, “suggesting a reduction in antibodies for weeks or months after infection ”.
The study added: "The results also show that people who do not have symptoms related to Covid-19 are more likely to lose detectable antibodies than those who do show symptoms."
Over the past three months, the proportion of antibodies among people testing positive for the virus has fallen by 22.3%, while among those who have not reported being affected by Covid-19, the proportion of antibodies fell 64%.
The study also points out that if people of all ages are affected by this decrease, the elderly will be even more affected: between June and September, the proportion of people over 75 years old with antibodies fell by 39%. , 18-24 year olds fell only 14.9%.
Health Secretary James Bethell said: "This research is a key part of the research and helps us understand how antibodies to Covid-19 change over time."
When asked about the UK statement, Imperial College London and Ipsos Mori said: 'However, antibodies are not yet able to confer effective levels of immunity, or if such immunity exists, how long can it last? ? "
So continue to follow the hygiene instructions.
